Step away from the tables

Once again, this website was created without the use of tables for layout. All positioning is accomplished with Cascading Style Sheets.

For that matter, fonts, colors, background images, borders, etc. - pretty much everything except actual content is controlled through the use of CSS.

And yes, he's a real dog

For those who have asked, the dalmatian is my dog. His name is Spaz.

About Keith Burgin......and a bit about this website, too.

Keith Burgin has been designing websites since 1999, beginning at first with software-generated sites using FrontPage 97. Outgrowing that rather quickly, he moved just as quickly through several other similar programs. Then, after educating himself, he began coding his pages by hand using XHTML, CSS, and Javascript.

An advocate of web standards, his favorite web-design icons are Eric Meyer, Jeffrey Zeldman, and Molly E. Holzschlag.

Over the years, Keith's been and done many things - manager at auto repair facilities, truck tire installer, part-time disc jockey at 93 Rock in Sacramento. He enjoys science fiction, loud music, reading tech books, and writing about himself in the third person.

Keith Burgin is a full-time independent web designer/developer working out of Marysville, California, with customers throughout the United States.
